Love is in the air, and what could be a better way to begin the New Year than by celebrating #WeddingGlam! The big fat weddings in the last year made 2018 the year of weddings and for good reason. As we make this new beginning, here's a celebration of the most wonderful weddings of 2018 and the spectacular outfits that these inspiring women wore that truly broke the internet.

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja:

We couldn't take our eyes off Sonam Kapoor's Sangeet Lehenga! What about you? Even though the wedding was in May 2018, the image of the fashionista walking down in the ivory and gold outfit is very vivid. The lehenga had intricate chikankari work on it and was embellished with Swarovski crystals, sequins, pearls, zari and zardosi work in gold and silver. The gorgeous flare made her look all the more beautiful. There couldn't be a better outfit for a glorious Sangeet evening!

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh:

Deepika Padukone was the beautiful traditional bride, choosing red, the colour of love and passion, for her exquisite hand embroidered Sindhi wedding lehnga. A gorgeous creation called the India Revival Project, Deepika’s wedding lehenga had intricately embroidered peacocks and traditional motifs in gold sequins and threadwork. A highlight of the lehenga was the Indian marital blessing ‘Sada Saubhagyavati Bhav’ written in Devnagri and sewn in gold thread on the dupatta’s border adorning the bride’s head.

We’re going gaga over this wedding lehenga. What about you?

Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi:

Neha Dhupia's outfit for her Anand Karaj in May left many of us dreamy-eyed. She had always dreamt of wearing a Baby Pink Lehenga for her wedding and the Blush outfit she chose has topped up the bucket lists of many brides-to-be. The Chanderi lehenga had floral motifs embroidered all over it, along with detailed gota patti, zari, zardozi, resham, dori and sequin work. The look she flaunted is ideal for a summer wedding, so if you're having one, try out these colours for your trousseau too. The organza dupatta she wore had embroidered floral designs all over it, with the border standing out in pastel green and a rosy shade of pink.

Thanks for setting new standards for the bridal look, Neha! You guys looked gorgeous as always.

Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap:

Saina Nehwal chose none other than an indigo velvet lehenga for her Hyderabad wedding reception, which made her look like a royal. The lehenga was embroidered intricately in gold with zardosi, appliqué, pearls and crystals. She had a dreamy pink dupatta over her head and a blue velvet one coming over the shoulders to complete the bridal look. The best part? Saina and her soulmate Parupalli Kashyap were twinning in the royal blue colour, which won many a hearts at the reception.

There's nothing like marrying your childhood best friend and Saina and Parupalli are role models for us truly.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas:

The mehendi function is all about dancing, music and lots of fun, and a bright and colorful ensemble is all that a bride needs to make it just perfect! Priyanka Chopra happily twirled around a riot or colours at her mehndi in a multi-colored organdy outfit. The lehenga was made of 48 kalis, splashed in the vibrant shades of yellow, orange, pink, red and green in a multitude of horizontal lines, zigzags and a few floral patterns. It was paired with a crop top in the same hues. After all, nothing can ever be too flamboyant for a mehendi function!

You looked charming in the look, Priyanka.

Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal:

Undoubtedly the Wedding of the Year 2018, Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal's wedding set major goals for many people across the globe. Isha's wedding lehenga was definitely one of the prettiest we have seen in a while, with the most touching aspect being her mother Nita Ambani's 35-year old wedding saree incorporated into it. She donned an elegant 16-panelled off-white ghaghara with a bright maroon dupatta that came over the shoulders. The Mughal jalis and floral designs in her outfit were hand embroidered and highlighted with intricate zardozi, mukaish, vasli and nakshi work.

While Isha Ambani looked absolutely stunning on all her wedding functions, the confidence with which she carries each outfit makes us fall in love with her all over again.
